TCM Festival Preview

For the eighth year TCM, the Turner Classic Movies channel, holds their TCM Classic Film Festival in Hollywood, from Thursday to Sunday April 6 to 9, 2017, where film lovers may see movies on the big screen, the way they were intended, at the Chinese, Egyptian and Arclight theatres. This year’s theme is Make ‘Em Laugh: Comedy in the Movies.

The extensive program spans from classics like Jezebel (1938) by William Wyler, with Bette Davis and Henry Fonda, Rear Window (1954) by Alfred Hitchcock, with James Stewart and Grace Kelly, Some Like It Hot (1959) by Billy Wilder, with Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon and Marilyn Monroe, to more recent films like Broadcast News (1987) by James L. Brooks, with William Hurt, Holly Hunter and Albert Brooks.

Special Programming features a talk with Michael Douglas at the Ricardo Montalbán Theatre, a Hand and Footprint ceremony honoring father and son Carl Reiner and Rob Reiner at the Chinese Theatre.

Various types of festival passes may be purchased for prices from $299 to $2,149. Single tickets are $20.
