Billed as the “largest participatory extravaganza in the US,” Los Angeles’ Meet Me @ Metro takes riders on a journey through four of the city’s metro stations, and treats them to performances along the way. Beginning at Union Station with a precisely-choreographed dance by event organizer Watts Village Theater Company, highlighted by Andrea Zuniga’s soulful singing, the performances take place at the Mariachi Plaza, Soto and the East La Civic Center metro stations, then return to Union Station to conclude the dance piece, which, fittingly, is about travel expanded as a metaphor for life’s passage.
Meet Me @Metro, runs again this weekend. It costs $20, which includes lunch and an all-day metro pass you can use to explore the city further.
