Lawrence Weschler, creative nonfiction pioneer, and author of Uncanny Valley: Adventures in the Narrative, recently shared his thoughts about Los Angeles literary life after WWII in conversation with author and LA Times book critic David Ulin.

The discussion, which encompasses everything from LA’s unique geographic spread to literary styles and the creative impulse, took place at [ALOUD], a series of literary conversations, readings and performances, which are offered free to the public at LA’s historic Central Library downtown.
