Rust Belt Market launches near Detroit

Ferndale, Michigan, in the Detroit metro area, has suffered more than its share of economic devastation over the past decade. With store after store going out of business, artists are coming to the rescue; they’ve recently taken over an abandoned Old Navy location and turned it into a place where artisans of all kinds can mingle and sell their wares.
It’s called the Rust Belt Market. To provide more economic stability, its owners have launched a Kickstarter campaign so they can guild out infrastructure, which will allow Rust Belt Market to host community events. They need to raise $20,000 by March 22, 2013. Enjoy their video below, then go to their Kickstarter page and grease the wheels.
