S.A. Griffin lives, loves and works in Los Angeles and considers himself the luckiest person he knows. Co-editor of The Outlaw Bible of American Poetry (Firecracker Award), he is presently at work editing the late Scott Wannberg's newest book The Official Language of Yes (Perceval Press). A Cadillac wrangling Carma Bum progenitor and practicing slacker named Best Performance Poet for the LA Weekly by Wanda Coleman, S.A. has been a working actor for 36 years and is the recipient of the Dramalogue Award (Best Actor) and Kari Award (Best Actor Commercials, Canada). In 2010, he created The Poetry Bomb, a former Vietnam era practice bomb converted into an art object and then filled with over 900 poems from around the world culminating in a five week performance, The Poetry Bomb Couch Surfing Across America Tour of Words 2010, all done in an effort to inspire civil disagreements. Widely anthologized, his most recent collection of verse, Dreams Gone Mad With Hope (Punk Hostage Press) was released in March 2014. A member of the curatorial staff at Beyond Baroque Literary Arts Center in Venice, California he was very honored to be the first recipient of Beyond Baroque's Distinguished Service Award in 2011.
