My name is Khaliq Black. I am a sixteen year-old junior attending St. Bernard High School in Playa Del Rey, California. I am the youngest of two, and I reside in Inglewood, California. I entertain myself in my free time by reading, writing poetry, and engaging in sports activities. At St. Bernard, I play baseball, and I also participate on the cross country team. I found my love for writing and poetry when I found that I was unable to express my emotions verbally. Writing to me is a creative expression, a voice of the voiceless, an extravagant art.
