Pry H.P. Lovecraft’s ‘Dagon’ from the Black Abyss

Among the risk factors noted as they embark on animating H. P. Lovecraft’s seminal horror tale Dagon, the filmmakers indicate that it “will be at its squamous best because it’s by fans for fans.”

Go squamous or go home, we say!

Director Alastair McColl (Bird World) and editor Simon Modery (Four Horsemen) plan to produce a hand-drawn, full-color animated adaptation of the story, which will be loyal to the expectations of Lovecraft’s fan community, and explore the contemporary resonance of the work. they have launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise £25,000 by February 4, 2013.
